우리 안의 이슬람 혐오
Islamophobia Within

서울대 아시아연구소 연구교수 구기연 교수님의 발제를 통해 한국 사회 안에서의 이슬람포비아가 어떤 형태로 발휘되는지, 미디어의 재현과 유동적인 공포라는 키워드를 통해 이해 한다. 이 후의 발표는 학생들이 주도하였으며, 사회과학 학습 공동체 별품달은 서문의 낙후화와 이슬람 사원 건립이 교차하면서 혐오의 발생 과정에 대한 조사 및 분석 결과를 발표 했으며, 241은 서문 이슬람 사원 건립과 관련한 인터넷 커뮤니티 안에서의 혐오표현의 분석, 일상 속 혐오표현의 문제, 대구의 다른 이슬람 사원 주변에서의 반응 연구, 발표 했다. 인턴쉽 활동의 발표가 이어지며 낙후된 서문의 담벼락에 벽화를 그리며 문화교류를 촉진 하는 등의 아이디어를 제시했다. 그 후 현 갈등 상황을 타계하기 위한 다양한 생각들이 제시되었다.

Prof Koo Gi Yeon from Seoul National University delivered a presentation about Islamophobia expressed through media and public perception in South Korea. Students who participated in Study Groups acted as discussants and presented their findings from research. Byeol-pum-dal focused on the community history outside the West Gate. 241 focused on Islamophobia expressed in the student bulletins. Insightful comments and opinions were exchanged during the Q&A session following the presentations.
